Garlic got pulled on Saturday (see the last post about that), and three days later that same bed is back at work. A wheelbarrow load of good compost, the bed forked over and leveled, and 15 kale plants and 4 rows of beans.
The image doesn't really show it, but I hung a net over the whole shebang: sparrows are ALL OVER my bean sprouts this year. I've planted twice already, and they've basically cleaned them off both times. This oughta stop them.
This winter they get no seeds, I tell ya.
